This is the 7th of 8 challenges eligible for the best of five TX Private Ranch Spring Tournament! Your best 5 challenges will be used to calculate your tournament scores. You can do poorly, or even miss a few challenges, and still be 'in the hunt'.  Click here for full details. 

Come ride this fabulous 4,000 acre working cattle ranch and wildlife preserve.  Trails are mostly dirt with occasional rocky spots.  Rolling terrain with a few steep hills.  Gorgeous lakes and stock ponds thoughout. Camping can accommodate 10 electric hook-ups, generators allowed, quiet primitive separated.  Water trough at camp for horses plus hoses for filling rigs.  Pot luck dinner Saturday night - ride management will provide spiral sliced ham.
 
Electric is $15 per night and all electric sites (except one) must accompany a stall as rigs will be parked in landscaped area around barns.  NO HORSES may be tethered to trailers except for saddling/unsaddling.

We have our AquaTred underwater treadmill available to all riders at half price ($13) Fri, Sat and Sun. The AquaTred underwater treadmill and whirlpool is  state-of-the-art equipment that strengthens ligaments, tendons, muscles and bones without damaging concussive forces. The treadmill  increases lung capacity, stamina, endurance and cardiovascular health. You can AquaTred as many horses as you like. Sign up for a swim time when you arrive and register. 
 
Gayla Maas, DVM, will be doing a guest lecture before awards on Saturday.  Come learn about the uses and benefits of Equine Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs and other alternative therapies.  She will widen your understanding of Chinese Medicine and how it can compliment traditional Western Medicine.

.......From IH 35 near Alvarado, exit #26A US Hwy 67S toward Cleburne. Go approx. 20 miles to TX 171/174 exit. At the light, turn left and cross over highway bridge onto access road traveling the opposite direction (U-TURN). At the stop sign, turn left onto TX 171. Continue 16 miles, passing through Godley and into Cresson. At the stop light in Cresson (TX 171 and Hwy 377) go straight for 2.8 miles. Turn left on FM 3450 and Cold River Equine is 1/2 mile on the left. Look for the big sign! ....... From IH 20 in Weatherford, exit #408 TX 171/51 toward Granbury. Stay straight at the light where TX 51 and 171 split. Go 15 miles on TX 171 to FM 3450. Turn right and Cold River Equine is 1/2 mile on the left. Look for the big sign! ....... From IH 820/20 in Benbrook, exit #429A Granbury/FM377S. Go 15 miles, going through Benbrook, to the light at Hwy 377 and TX 171. Take a right on TX 171 for 2.8 miles. Turn left on FM 3450 and Cold River Equine is 1/2 mile on the left. Look for the big sign!
