RIDERS' SCHOOLING

"I had a blast"  "I had no idea how much I'd learn"  "It was great having the opportunity to hear first-hand what judges are looking for right on the spot!"  "I feel so much better prepared to compete"  "I hope I get to do this again"  These are just some comments of riders from past Judges' Clinics.  In this ETS Judging Clinic, participating riders attempt multiple obstacle types at various difficulty levels, and get to 'listen-in' to the aspiring judges and experienced judges' discussion of their scores and the scores of others.   This is a unique opportunity to get immediate feedback on your obstacle attempts, and hear the judges' comments on the obstacle attempts by others.   Have fun in this uplifting and encouraging enviroment while learning a lot on how to improve your personal obstacle scores.

JUDGES' CLINIC

The judges' portion of this clinic is intended for those valued volunteers who wish to prepare to judge an Equine Trail Sports event.   Aspiring judges wishing to learn, and experienced judges interested in "honing their skills" or mentoring others, are welcome and encouraged.   This clinic features hands-on practice on example obstacles with real riders. Aspiring judges gain confidence through practice and feedback on their scoring from experienced judges. Learn how to score riders' performances and apply ETS rules in an encouraging environment.  Become an ETS judge and important contributor to the "Ride for fun, Ride to learn" ETS experience. Get valuable tips on how to record comments most useful to the rider.  Learn "shout out" techniques to encourage riders during the appreciated judges' review.

Free Daypass Membership is offered with this event, be sure to toggle the Daypass option when you register.
