About The Venue

Ustengo is proud to present Spokane River Stakes at the Equestrian Area at Riverside State Park just outside of Spokane, Washington. 

You will need to have a Washington Discover Pass.  It is best to obtain this online or from a licensed vendor.  Park Discover Day Passes are available on-site at kiosk.  Park Discover Annual Passes are $30 and Park Discover Day Passes are $10.  Here is the Website information https://parks.state.wa.us/167/Discover-Pass-fees for Discover passes.

There are 21 campsites with corrals in the Equestrian area.  Water and bathrooms are on site.  Riverside State Park manages the campground and reservations can be made at this link https://washington.goingtocamp.com .  There will be overflow camping across the road from the campgrounds available if the campground is full. Overflow camping has no water or power.  Water is available in the campground.  Reservations are not needed for overflow camping.  Fees are payable at the kiosk for overflow camping which is first come, first served.  All camping reservations are made through Riverside State Park at the above link.  Please plan ahead if you are planning to camp.

Riverside State Park is a great place to play and rest. The Equestrian Area was designed for the equine enthusiast with a 200x300 working arena, 50' round pen, and ground obstacles built by Back Country Horseman of Washington.  There are 25 miles of trails that wrap around the Spokane River if you would like to utilize those as well.

 

Event Details

There will be a Trail Challenge both days, Saturday and Sunday, covering between 5 and 7 miles with obstacles located throughout the Equestrian Area of Riverside State Park near Spokane, WA.  

This is part of the Ustengo Triple Crown Series.

The Terrain

The terrain is natural.  The footing varies from dirt to pine needle covered natural ground cover.    We will be using trails located within the Equestrian area.  Most trails are wide and easy.  There are some rocks, gravel, and water.  The trail is designed to be beginner safe.  

Please, you know your equine and your choice is best. Barefoot, Booted or Shod.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Additional Fees

There will be a very limited number of extra corrals available.  This is in addition to corrals that in the campsites.
