About The Venue

Welcome to the Sand Flats ETS Event!!  Katie has been hard at work putting together some fun new obstacles for you!

We are holding our ETS Event at the Riverside Equine Park located in beautiful Spokane, Washington on the Spokane River and only a few miles from Airway Heights.

Within the park, you will find a great place to play and rest. The equine area was designed for the equine enthusiast with a 200x300 working arena, 50' a round pen, ground obstacles built by Back Country Horseman of Washington.

There are campsites available, bathrooms, https://washington.goingtocamp.com is the website that you need to go to reserve your campsite if you are wanting to camp.

This is a LEAVE NO TRACE facility~ Please make sure and clean up after yourselves and your horse!!

Once the Campsite is full- We will have "overflow" dry overnight camping for $27 a night in the Pasture North of the campsite area.

Day Parking will be in the pasture north of the campsite area- Discover Pass or Day Pass required.

You will need to have a Washington Discover Pass, you can obtain this online, or Day Passes are available on-site.  Annual Passes are $30 and Day Passes are $10- here is the Website information https://parks.state.wa.us/167/Discover-Pass-fees

There are also 25 miles of trails that wrap around the Spokane River, an outdoor arena, and a round pen in the upper Equine area if you would like to utilize those as well. Come early or stay a few days!

Event Details

We will also be utilizing the Obstacle Course on Friday for an In Hand Obstacle Challenge event.

This is a Trail Challenge obstacle course event for Saturday and Sunday where we will have obstacles along the trail to keep even the advanced rider on their toes and the intermediate and novice riders comfortable.

Obstacles can be but are not limited to a natural terrain obstacle with difficulties thrown in and or a man-made obstacle that has a little twist for fun.

The Terrain

The terrain is natural following along the equine area of the park and along the river- you may encounter some steep terrain, hills, loose rock, shale rock, rocky terrain, loose dirt, sand, water, river crossings, gravel, and asphalt.
