Napa Valley Horsemen's Association is located at the gateway of the world famous Napa Valley Wine Country. NVHA is the oldest horse association in California, founded in 1939 under the direction of first Chairman, Judge David Wright. The property consists of 32 acres, with a clubhouse, two arenas, arena office/concession stand, restrooms and a 20 stall barn. There is plenty of parking.

Napa Valley Horsemen's Association
This is #1 in a series of four obstacle course events in Napa, Marin, Solano and Sonoma counties.
Every event will have 8 obstacles. Each obstacle has a challenge level (1) Novice, (2) Intermediate or (3) Advance. Choose whichever level, at any obstacle, that best suits you and your horse. Obstacles are not timed.
To qualify for the Getaway Horseplay North Bay Series Highpoint Tournament you must be an ETS member and have competed in 3 out of 4 events. The Tournament Awards ceremony will be held after event #4. You do not need to be present if you have already qualified, however, we hope you attend the last event!

STEP 2 COMPLETE PROCESS (additional fees)

Concession stand will be open
Ribbons 1st - 6th place at every event for Novice, Intermediate and Advance divisions.

EQUINE CARROT CLUB
Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine Placement Points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.
STAR RIDER CLUB
You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. This kilt pin will come with an Equine Trail Sports iron on patch to attach the kilt pin. Rider Placement Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.

HORSEMANSHIP Clinic - after lunch Saturday May 5th 1- 4pm
Cost $75 Limited to 6 riders. Any breed or discipline. Novice, Intermediate or Advance horses and riders.

RIDERS' PARTICIPATION
Gain an insider perspective of ETS judging! In this ETS Judging Clinic, the participating riders are asked to attempt the obstacles in the Judges' hands-on training. There will be approximately 6-7 obstacles Each rider gets to 'listen-in' to the discussion of the performance and the scores immediately after each attempt. Riders are encouraged to view all judges' materials (see below). LIMITED NUMBER OF RIDERS! Cost $50 Rider
JUDGES' PARTICIPATION
This clinic is for both amateur horseman and equine professionals who wish to learn how to apply their expertise and knowledge to judging obstacles as per ETS Standards. This clinic features hands-on practice on example obstacles with real riders. Aspiring judges gain confidence through practice and feedback on their scoring from experienced ETS judges. FREE!
PREPARATION FOR THE CLINIC:
The ETS Judging Clinic consists of a short review of ETS Judging Standards with the bulk of the time spent actual practice judging on "live obstacles" with a few riders.
To prepare for the clinic, we ask that you complete the 'Classroom' portion by reviewing the Study Materials located on the Judge Certification page (JUDGE tab). You are asked to take the 'Knowledge Check' prior to the clinic.
