About The Venue

Twining Pastures is dedicated to providing space for horses and humans to enjoy. Our amazing trails are on a  1,500 acre ranch in the scenic hills of Ukiah, CA

Dry camping is available, call Eloise at 415-613-1745 for more information.

Event Details

Saturday

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines welcome.

Sunday

Obstacle Challenge (OC)  Trail obstacles judged in or around the Arena.  Riders mounted.  All riding disciplines welcome.

The Terrain

Arena: 140 x 250 ft sand footing.

Trails: single & wide track trails, mostly moderate hills. Trails may have hills with up to 500 ft elevation gain but most will be far lower.  Some portions of the trails are quite steep. There will be several, shallow, creek crossings some of which are  rocky. Other than creek crossings the footing is fairly soft.  Trails run through Oak forests and open meadows with a mix of shade and sun.

Meals

No food is available onsite.   Please come prepared. 

The closest corner store is 1.5 miles.  They serve food. There are plenty of other food choices within 3 to 5 miles.  Also several hotels.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Additional Fees

Fees for ETS event entries are the only things paid for online.  The drug fee, camping , pens and all other amenities are paid for when you arrive onsite.

Online Registration gets you Early Bird Pricing!!  There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.  You must register before the Thursday cutoff in order to get Early Bird pricing.
