It will be hot, but we'll be ready! 75% of the trail is in the shade. All obstacles and staging areas are in the shade. Shade provided in the pavilion for you and your equine. Wash racks available to cool down before you haul out.
This Trail Course will be just a part of the great fun that will be going on at the Dripping Springs Ranch Park on this day! RED ARENA, a Therapeutic Riding Center located in Dripping Springs, will be holding their annual Round Up, a fund raiser consisting of tons of festivities such as wine tasting, great TX BBQ, a HUGE silent auction from local Dripping Springs merchants (we have lots of great breweries and shops!), lots of games for the entire family, and equine events for the kiddos from Red Arena! All proceeds from this event will go to Red Arena. For more information on Red Arena, please visit their website RedArena.org.
While the Red Arena Round Up festivities will use the covered park, the course for this Trail Challenge competition will be on the park's Hill Country trail system.
The terrain is typical Hill Country, some soft dirt areas, some rock. Shoes/boots recommended if your equine is not used to the Hill Country.
There will be plenty of TX BBQ for lunch, snow cones, and snacks for sale in the Arena's kitchen.
Ribbons and awards will be given to 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
Stalls - $20 per night, bring your own shavings.
Hook Ups - $35 per night
Primitive Camping - $10 per night
You won't want to miss the Red Arena Round Up festivities held inside the covered arena!
Friday night - wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, HUGE Silent Auction from local Dripping Springs merchants.
Saturday - festivities for the whole family including bouncy house, petting zoo, games, and did we mention the HUGE silent Auction?!
