About The Venue

Old Mill Equestrian Center sits on 80 acres in the beautiful rolling hills of the Ozarks. The barn boasts 20 stalls, 2 hot water wash bays, a lounge with bathroom, and a large 110x220 indoor arena. In 2019, we will be adding a 140x270 outdoor arena. We have a small outdoor obstacle course as well as a full set of arena obstacles, jumps, barrels, and poles. Old Mill hosts a number of events each year. All types of clinics, all-breed horse shows, and now Equine Trail Sports.

We have 6 outdoor pens for overnight stays and 4 RV hook-ups. Please reserve when you register. We have access to a private stall barn a mile down the road if stalls are needed for overnighters. Please contact Izzey directly to reserve a barn stall at 417-693-8260.

Proof of negative Coggins is must be presented at the check-in table before unloading your horse.

Event Details

The day begins with a course consisting of a combination of indoor and outdoor obstacles. Lunch, shout-outs, and awards will be followed by the second event of the day, also consisting of both indoor and outdoor obstacles.

The Terrain

The terrain at Old Mill is barefoot friendly with a combination of well maintained indoor arena footing and pasture grass.

Meals

We will be serving sandwiches from Big Al's in Nixa. Please reserve your lunch when you register. There are a refrigerator and microwave available if you choose to bring your own food.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Additional Opportunities

The course will be open on Sunday afternoon so you can master those obstacles that may have been 'an obstacle' to success. Open access to the course will from 1 pm to 4 pm with a fee of $10.00. Coaching will be available for an additional fee. Please contact Izzey for information at 417-693-8260.
