About The Venue

The Goethe State Forest Apex Trailhead is a beautiful location with over 40 miles of marked equestrian trails! You will be able to enjoy some amazing scenery on wide well-marked trails.  

We always strive to use public land so that we can inspire others to use the trails, this keeps funding available and will allow us amazing places to ride our horses for years to come! 

Due to COVID Per State Park requirements, our meeting and day parking for the event will be at Goethe Trailhead Ranch -

Please do NOT park at the trailhead due to current COVID restrictions.  

Directly across the street is Goethe Trailhead Ranch RV Campground, you will be able to ride your horse to the trailhead!

They have a bunkhouse, full hookups, stalls, shower house, and pool. 

If competing on Sunday let them know ... they can add on an extended stay for you. 

Don't have living quarters?  

Several hotel options in Dunnellon Fl or Rainbow Springs area (less than 30 min away from the trailhead)

Event Details

Saturday is a fun-filled day with a Mounted Obstacle Course (this will cover about 3 acres) and a 5-6 mile Trail Obstacle Course.  

Sunday we will be heading out to do a 5-6 mile Trail Obstacle Course. 

The Terrain

The terrain is typically sandy with some rocks.  You know your horse, please protect their feet as you see fit. 

Meals

There will be no food or drinks on site so please come prepared. 

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

This will be apart of the Florida Alabama Triple Play Buckle Series CLICK HERE for details. 

We will be awarding the Buckles and Reserve Prizes on SUNDAY!!! 

Additional Fees

There is a $15.00 Parking fee for day riders per rig paid in cash on site

  • fee is waived if you are camping or have stalls at Goethe Trailhead Ranch
