Ustengo is proud to present the River Challenge at the Equestrian Area of Riverside State Park just outside of Spokane, Washington.
Riverside State Park is a great place to play and rest. The Equestrian Area was designed for the equine enthusiast with a 200x300 working arena, 50' round pen, and ground obstacles built by Back Country Horseman of Washington.
There are 21 campsites with corrals at the Equestrian area. Water and bathrooms are on site. Riverside State Park manages the campground and reservations can be made at this link https://washington.goingtocamp.com . There will be overflow camping across the road from the campgrounds available if the campground is full. Overflow camping has no water or power. Water is available in the campground. Reservations are not needed for overflow camping. Fees are payable at the kiosk for overflow camping which is first come, first served. All camping reservations are made through Riverside State Park at the above link. Please plan ahead if you are planning to camp.
You will need to have a Washington Discover Pass. It is best to obtain this online or from a licensed vendor. Day Passes are available on-site. Annual Passes are $30 and Day Passes are $10. Here is the Website information https://parks.state.wa.us/167/Discover-Pass-fees for Discover passes.
There are 25 miles of trails that wrap around the Spokane River, an outdoor arena, and a round pen in the upper Equine area if you would like to utilize those as well.
There will be a Trail Challenge both days, Saturday and Sunday, covering between 6 and 8 miles with obstacles located throughout the Equestrian Area.
The terrain is natural. We will be using a new trail located within the Equestrian area. Most trails are wide and easy. There are some rocks, gravel, and water. Trail is designed to be beginner safe.
