About The Venue

Come join us at one of the premier Washington Equestrian Parks.  Riverside Equestrian State Park offers a wide variety of trails that meander thru the forested areas with wide expansive views of the area and the Spokane River.  

Event Details

FRIDAY

July 6th Evacuation Information:  This is a situation that has never happened before, so for the rIders who were unable to complete the Trail Challenge on July 6th, due to the evacuation, you have 3 options.  1) Finish your obstacles at 7pm Aug 1.  Please refer to agenda for check-in, meeting & timing. 2) Contact Crystal at gymtonto@aol.com or Jan at mthoodrider@gmail.com and request your remaining scores to be recorded as 1-0-0. OR 3) Contact support@equinetrailsports.com and request a refund for your TC registration.

SATURDAY

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age. Helmets required for all minors 17 & Under.  Closed Toe Shores required for all participants.

Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome. Helmets required for all minors 17 & Under.

SUNDAY

Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome. Helmets required for all minors 17 & Under.

The Terrain

The In-Hand and Obstacle Courses will use the existing obstacle course, the arena and the area between the campground and the area.

The trail course will meander along the existing trail system including down to the river. The terrain is natural.  The footing varies from dirt to pine needle covered natural ground cover. We will be using trails located within the Equestrian area.  Most trails are wide and easy.  There are some rocks, gravel, and water.  The trail is designed to be beginner safe.  

Please, you know your equine and your choice is best. Barefoot, Booted or Shod.

Meals

Breakfast & Lunch are on your own.

Saturday Night Potluck, bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share.  Plates and plastic ware will be provided. Bring your own beverages.

Awards

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Weekend High Point Awards for Novice, Intermediate & Advanced Division.

Cascade & More Series Awards for Novice, Intermediate & Advanced Divisions will be awarded at this event.

Additional Fees

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

All Camping reservations are made thru the Washington State Park Reservation System:

RV reservations require vacating camping spots at 1pm.  Please consider making your reservation for Sunday evening or please move your trailers, etc after the riders meeting before you go out to ride.

Dogs must be kept on leash and/or contained at all times.

Overflow camping is $12 per night, Discover Passes are for day use only, they do not cover overflow camping.
