About The Venue

Hawthorne Ranch is a boarding facility just a block down the street from this property and  is separate from our boarding facility property all haul in fees only cover the below listed amenities.

200x250 outdoor arena, round pen, trail obstacles(car wash, pool noodle walk through, teeter, bridges, tires, logs, steps, gate), cross country jumps, and a galloping path with many routes you could take.

There are 10 pens available, and unlimited BYOP.

Bring your own feed/water bucket as well as wheelbarrow rake and shavings as desired.

Event Details

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Obstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Property is mainly flat with a mucky wash running thru it. It is marked off however please stay out of it as it can get sticky  There are no trees. So we recommend you bring a shade tent of some sort. It is easy access in and out and plenty of parking for all. 

Meals

There will be breakfast/snack items, including coffee, hot water, tea and cocoa as well as - muffin, protein bars, donuts, candy, water, soda, etc avaliable to purchase at sign up table both days. 

Lunch as well as dinner is riders responsibilty both days. 

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

This is a Buckle series, High Point awards will also be awarded as well as buckles. 

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.
