Cool Hills Ranch is directly connected to the Olmstead Loop in the beautiful Sierra Foothills where our trail rides will take place.
Saturday - In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.
Saturday - Trail Challenge (TC) (8 mi) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Sunday - Trail Challenge (TC) (5 mi) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Cool Hills Ranch: Covered arena footing, gravel driveways
Olmstead Loop Trails: single track mostly flat with some wider trails, moderate hills, low water crossings, wood bridges and a few rocky areas along the trail.
Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.
Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.
Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.
Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

From Grass Valley: Take CA-49 South to Bell Rd, turn left for 2.7 mi, turn right to merge onto I-80 W toward Sacramento for 3.0 mi, take exit 119C toward CA-49 S/Placerville, right onto Elm Ave, turn left onto CA-49 S/El Dorado St/High St, turn right onto CA-193 E/CA-49 S/El Dorado St, continue to follow CA-49 S for 4.4 mi, destination will be on right hand side.
From Reno: Merge onto I-80 W toward Sacramento for approximately 98 mi, take exit 119C toward CA-49 S/Placerville, right onto Elm Ave, turn left onto CA-49 S/El Dorado St/High St, turn right onto CA-193 E/CA-49 S/El Dorado St, continue to follow CA-49 S for 4.4 mi, destination will be on right hand side.
From Sacramento: Take I-80 E toward Reno for approximately 25 miles to Auburn. Take exit 119C toward California 49 S/Placerville, turn left onto Elm Ave (signs for CA-49 S/Placerville), turn left onto CA-49 S/El Dorado St/High St, turn right onto CA-193 E/CA-49 S/El Dorado St, continue to follow CA-49 S for 4.4 mi, destination will be on right hand side.
From Placerville: From Hwy-50 take Bedford Ave, turn left onto Spring St for .5 mi, turn right onto CA-49 N/Coloma St for 18.5 mi, destination will be on left hand side.
