About The Venue

For 27 years the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo has entertained and educated horse lovers of all breeds and disciplines. Organized by the Colorado Horse Council, the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo is the council’s largest annual fundraiser. The 2020 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo Charity is the Ronald McDonald House in Denver.

THIS VENUE REQUIRES A HEALTH CERTIFICATE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE EVENT. IF YOU ARE TRAVELING OUT OF STATE, YOU WILL NEED A CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS.

Event Details

LIMITED TO 40 RIDERS! Equine Trail Sports will be showcasing an obstacle challenge on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the downstairs arena. Join us for 1 or for all 3 events!  There is no membership charge for these events, be sure to select the $0 day pass option when registering.

A tournament is offered for riders who attend all 3 events awarding a beautiful silver buckle to the high point in Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced brackets. See tournament details here. The high point rescue horse will also receive a special award (TBD) sponsored by the Colorado Horse Council. Make sure your equine record is indicated as a Rescue Horse.

The events will be held in the Hall of Education Arena (Lower Level). Check-In, Rider and Judge meetings, and awards will be held on the south end of this arena, just outside of the course.

Meals are available for purchase in the venue.

Awards

For each event, there will be beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Additional Opportunities

There are 2 tournaments for these 3 events:
(1) Buckle Series! A beautiful Silver Buckle will be awarded to high point in the Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced brackets. See details here.
(2) Rescue Horse Overall High Point (be sure to indicate if your horse is a rescue in your equine's record when registering) - sponsored by the Colorado Horse Council, prize TBD.
