About The Venue

The Murieta Equestrian Center is the largest equestrian facility in the State of California, boasting five indoor and twelve outdoor arenas, cattle facilities, two cutting arenas, 379 permanent stalls, 500 portable stalls, nine expansive spectator seating areas, and more.

Event Details

Judges & Volunteers are needed, please contact us if you'd like to Judge or Volunteer.

There will be an obstacle challenge on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday that will be held in an arena and over 3 miles of trail. Join us for 1 or for all 3 events! There is no membership charge for these events, be sure to select the $0 day pass option when registering. 

As a competitor, your EMMP fee is included with your entry as well as your pass to the Western States Horse Expo.

You will need to print, sign, and bring this Western States waiver with you to check-in.

We will conduct much of our check-in process over email. We will email your rider numbers, obstacle sheets (the morning of), your ride out time, trail map, and other pertinent information to you prior to the event. 

The Terrain

Typical footing in an arena setting. The trail is firm dirt, a few rocks. Shoes/boots are not necessary if your equine is barefoot.

Meals

Meals are available for purchase in the venue.

Awards

Daily awards include beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Buckle Series! Attend all 3 events and you are automatically apart of the buckle series. A beautiful Silver Buckle will be awarded to the high point in the Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced brackets. 

Additional Fees

Parking & Stalls - There is no charge for trailer parking, however, stalls are required for this event. Stalls are $135 for the week, $80/day. To reserve a stall with Rancho Murieta click here. This venue does not allow daily haul-ins without a day stall reservation.
