About The Venue

Ustengo is proud to offer the Ustengo Stakes Trail Challenge at a new venue, Spokane Sport Horse Farm  (SSHF). SSHF is owned by Christel Carlson and is a premier boarding, dressage, event, training, and breeding facility. SSHF is located on 150 acres, 5 miles southwest of Spokane, Washington, USA.

Facilities include multiple arenas with a panoramic backdrop with trails interspersed amongst the 150 acres. SSHF offers haul-in support featuring easy access to stabling area, freshwater, and electrical hookups (limited and 110 power only) for your rig. There is plenty of room and turnaround areas for semi- or large trailer/truck combos. 

Stall rental is required for each day.  You will need to clean your stall after use.  A $20.00 refundable fee will be charged for stall cleaning.  No portable corrals or tying to trailers.  

Event Details

Ustengo Stakes is a two day trail challenge covering 5 miles of trail.   It is the final two events of the Ustengo Triple Crown Series.

The Terrain

Numerous shaving covered riding trails wind through the property and around fields, ponds, lava outcroppings, and up and down hills amidst the pine trees.  Suitable for beginners.

Meals

Ustengo will be hosting dinner on Saturday night.  Potluck for desserts.  

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Prizes will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place of the Ustengo Triple Crown Series for all categories: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Juniors, and Young'ns.  

Additional Fees

Stalls are $25 per day and are REQUIRED.  Includes one bag of shavings.  Additional bags of shavings are $10 per bag.  There is a $20.00 refundable stall cleaning deposit. Stalls will be needed for each day you are there, i.e. arriving Friday you need stalls for 3 days.  Coming for one day you need a stall for that day.  

Reservations for RV Sites can be made by contacting Linda White, linda43562@hotmail.com or 509-413-7392.  There are a limited number of RV sites.  RV sites have electric hookups (110 only), no a/c, heaters, or water, and are $20 per night.  Water is available nearby. 

Payment for Stalls are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.  Please bring cash or check for payment.  

Dry camping is available, no charge.

There are a few nearby restaurants including Latah Bistro, Chaps, and Subway along with a grocery store and gas station.
