About The Venue

This is a private ranch in Smith Valley Nevada. There is a large covered arena, an outdoor arena and cross country course, and access to BLM is right out the gate. 

Event Details

Saturday and Sunday:

Obstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles as you ride. All riding disciplines are welcome.

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Saturday Evening:

Summer School, we will have voting to decide on several obstacles to set up in the covered arena and have open practice. Take advantage of this opportunity to school your equine away from home on obstacles you may not have!

The Terrain

Sand and rocks with sage brush. Mostly flat. The arenas are groomed footing.

Meals

Please provide your own food.

Friday and Saturday evenings we would like to gather as friends to sit around the fire and get to know each other. There is always the possibility we will have smores! A BBQ Saturday is also possible, contact event host to discuss options.

Beautiful ribbons Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced 1st - 3rd

 Amazing Shout Outs for stand out performance at each obstacle!

Additional Fees

Haul in fee is per horse per weekend and will be due upon arrival at check in for the events.

Payment for overnight stays and stalls will be collected on site at check in.

Additional Opportunities

We are looking to enlarge our judges pool, if you would like to judge with us you can compete in some events and judge others. Haul in fees will be waived for our judges and food is provided. Contact the host for more information. We also welcome volunteers who would like to help in other ways, contact the host for information on putting that significant other to work while you compete with your horse! ;)
