About The Venue

Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia, Green Hill Park Equestrian Center is a 30 acre public horse park. The park is self supporting with donations from various contributors and several local horse clubs who donate partial profits from shows held at the park. We are fortunate to have three arenas, 20 stalls, and water provided at the facility. A valid Negative Coggins is required for participation.

Event Details

Saturday

Obstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

In Hand (IH) - Obstacle Course in the arena, all breeds and disciplines are welcome

Sunday

Obstacle Course in the field and arena. All riding disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Arena footing and grassy hills, rocks in creek crossings.

Meals

 A food truck, “The Traveling Table” is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday lunch and Saturday dinner. Please list number of lunches and dinners for an accurate count.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration. For example, meals, stalls, and primitive camping fees will be paid on site.

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

Additional Opportunities

On Friday, an obstacle clinic will be offered, complete with groundwork exercises to improve the horse and rider performance during the obstacles.

On Sunday, there will be High Point Buckles for the top competitor of these four events Advanced, Intermediate, Novice (18+) and Youth 7-17. You must enter all 3 events to qualify.
