Twining Pastures is dedicated to providing space for horses and humans to enjoy. Our amazing trails are on a 1,500 acre ranch in the scenic hills of Ukiah, CA

Saturday
In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.
Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Sunday
Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Arena: 140 x 250 ft sand footing.
Trails: single & wide track trails, mostly moderate hills. Trails may have hills with up to 500 ft elevation gain but most will be far lower. Some portions of the trails are quite steep. There will be several, shallow, creek crossings some of which are rocky. Other than creek crossings the footing is fairly soft. Trails run through Oak forests and open meadows with a mix of shade and sun.
No food is available at the event, however a variety of food choices are within a 5 to 7 minute drive.
Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.
Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.
Payment for ALL Amenities (pens, camping, EMMP fees, etc.) are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.
Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.
The April event will finish the 2025 Twining Ranch tournament AND start the 2026 Twining Ranch tournament. In addition points from both events this year will count toward the Northern California tournament.
