About The Venue

This event will take place in two different locations.  On Friday and Saturday, the In-Hand and Mounted events will be held at the Franklin County Saddle Club.  The Franklin County Saddle Club has lighted arenas, onsite trail course, wash rack, indoor stalls, 36 RV campsites as well as dry campsites, bathhouse with showers.

Easy access from I-82, local accommodations shopping, and restaurants nearby.

On Sunday the trail course will take place at the Richland Horse Park, connected to the WE Johnson Preserve.  The Preserve has 236 acres of trail riding, including equestrian specific parking, natural and constructed horse skill obstacles, updated signage and landscaping, a trail obstacle course and trail jumping area.  It has easy access from Highway 240, local accommodations and shopping and restaurants nearby.  

Event Details

Friday

Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Saturday

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Sunday

Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Excellent dirt footing in all arenas, Onsite trail course is dirt with wood chips some light gravel in areas. 

WE Johnson is good footing with some rocky areas.  

Meals

Please join us Saturday night for a potluck in the clubhouse.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

The Franklin County Saddle Club is located on road 60 between Argent and Court Street.

From Oregon: Take 395 North to Pasco. Take the Court Street exit, turning left on Court. Proceed a few miles to Road 60. Turn right. Saddle Club will be on the right side. Please use the entrance by the Equine Trail Sports sign.

Traveling East on I82: Take Exit 9, Road 68. Turn right on 68 and proceed to Argent. Turn left at Argent and continue to Road 60. Turn right on Road 60. The Saddle Club will be on the left. Please use the entrance by the Equine Trail Sports sign.
