About The Venue

Riverside State Park is a WA State Park located 9 miles northwest of Spokane.  It is the second largest park in WA.  The park supports a wide variety of recreational activities including hiking, biking, and horseback riding.  The trail system is multi-use.

Camping- all camping reservations are made with Washington State Parks Reservation System   Once campground is full there will be overflow camping in field across from the campground and fees will be paid onsite.  Riders will be responsible for equine containment.

Event Details

Friday-In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Saturday-Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Sunday-Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Terrain is varied, rocks, sand, compact dirt, potential road.

Meals

Saturday we will have a potluck to celebrate a great year. We will provide the main.  Please remember there are an estimated 50+ riders and 20+volunteer staff.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Qualified riders will be competing for a Championship saddle in all three brackets with a combined score from all three events over the weekend. 

We will also be awarding the Judge of the year and year end Partnership buckles.

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

Additional Opportunities

Please make sure to select your t-shirt size one per rider in amenities! Extras will be available to purchase for your family and friends please add their sizes if you know they would like one.
