The Strawberry River Trail Competition is held at the Row Bench Trailhead, nestled in the scenic high country of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. This location offers a true mountain experience with fresh air and expansive views.
Experience the heart of the Wasatch Mountains on this scenic high-alpine trek. Starting at an elevation of 8,000 feet, this trail climbs steadily to a breathtaking 10,500 feet.
Camping & Accommodations:
Availability: Camping is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that we do not take reservations.
Horse Management: You are welcome to highline your horses in the trees or tie them to your trailer.
Corrals: While there are a few corrals on-site, they are primarily used by local ranchers. Please do not count on them being available for the event; plan to provide your own containment (highlines or trailers).
Water: Water is available on-site for horses.
Saturday
Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Riders will encounter occasional rocky sections requiring sure-footedness, the route consists primarily of solid dirt trails.
Friday Potluck at 6:00
Main Dish will be provided.

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-3rd place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.
Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!
Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.
Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.
Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.
Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.
This is in conjunction with our MFTHBA National trail Ride. This ride is held Friday and Saturday and you are welcome to attend. Please let us know if you are.

East on Hwy 40 from Heber City. Two miles past Daniel summit Lodge turn North on Strawberry River Road. Follow Strawberry River Road for 7 miles until you see the corrals.
