JUDGE CERTIFICATION

ETS provides Judge training with the objective of providing a fair standard of scoring on a national level.

First, register for a Judge Webinar (JW) or a live Judge Clinic (JC) and study the following Judge Materials. Online registration is mandatory and free, space is limited.

Steps 1 & 2 must be completed before attending the Judge Webinar / Clinic.

STEP 1 - Complete the Knowledge Check. Select your name to get to your Profile and click the Knowledge Check link in Step 1.

STEP 2 - Complete the Instructional Videos. Select your name to get to your Profile and click the Instructional Videos link in Step 2. To get credit, you'll need to watch the video in its entirety. They take an hour to complete collectively.

STEP 3 - Attend the Judge Webinar (1 - 1 1/4 hrs.) or live Judging Clinic that you registered for.

STEP 4 - Complete the Practical Judging Exercise. Select your name to get to your Profile and click the Practical Judging Exercise link in Step 4. Print the Decision Tree for this step. This exercise is Not mobile friendly, if you use your phone, turn it sideways.

STEP 5 - Judge 2 Classes

Judges must act according to the ETS Judge Pledge.
Feel free to reach out to any host, their contact icons are found on their event page.
Host will assign you in the system to their show and all events judged will be tracked in your Judge Profile in Step 5.

CERTIFICATION

Once the above steps are completed, you will receive an email notifying you of your certification.
Once certified, you will be eligible for the Judge Award Program.
To receive your certification badge & patch, navigate to your Judge Profile to select the event you'll be attending. This will need to be requested at least 2 weeks in advance.
