The Mt Adams Horse camp is nestled in a gorgeous meadow with a spectacular view of Mt Adams. Plenty of dry camping available. Base camp will be located in the north end of the meadow. Certified Weed Free Hay is Required. Stock water is available in the USFS Campground.
Come join us for 2 days of relaxing trail riding on the footthlls of Mt Adams in the beautiful Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Trails wind thru the thick forest and along streams offering a wide variety of vegetation and beauty. Saturday's trail will head north and circle back to camp with 8-12 obstacle to challenge your skills on this 8 mile loop. Sunday we will ride the 6 mile lower loop to the Big Tree Monument with 6-10 obstacles along the way before heading back to camp.
Day Rider Very Welcome. Saturday Night Potluck will offer some of the best food. Back by popular demand Cowboy Poet Duane Nelson will share his unique style of Cowboy Poetry. Sunday morning join us for Cowboy Church.
Trails are well maintained and are suitable for all ages and abilities. Some areas are rocky so boots or shoes are recommended.

Ribbons to 6th Place, Weekend Hi Point Awards, Buckles to be awarded at the conclusion of the series.
This buckle series will combine scores from the May 19th & 20th Obstacle Challenge at BC Mello Arena in Goldendale, WA and the two day Trail Challenge July 28th & 29th at Mt Adams Horse Camp outside of Troutlake, WA. High Poiint Awards for each division for each weekend and Overall High Point Buckles for each division to be awarded at the conclusion of the series. Must compete in all four events to qualify for the buckles.

Directions:
From Trout Lake, Washington take Mt. Adams Road north to the intersection with Forest Road 23. At this intersection fork to the right. Continue driving for one mile to the turn onto Forest Road 80. This road is signed “South Climb”. Make the left hand turn on to Forest Road 80 and continue to the intersection with spur road 031 at the sign for the horse camp. Turn left and drive to the entrance to the camp on the right.
IMPORTANT the Hood River Bridge is very narrow, please consider the following options for crossing the Columbia River: If coming from Eastern Oregon/Washington on I-84, please take The Dalles Bridge to WA Hwy 14 and travel West approximately 22 miles to Hwy 141, follow 141 to Trout Lake.
If coming from I-84 east bound please take The Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks (this is a toll bridge), turn right on WA Hwy 14 and travel approximately 20 miles to Hwy 141, follow 141 to Trout Lake.
