About The Venue

Novato Horsemen has been a part of the Marin County community since 1942 and was incorporated in 1945. The club is currently one of the largest horsemen associations in California. The facility has a clubhouse, snack shack, large outdoor sand arena, warm up arena and round pen. There is trail head on the property that backs up to open space and Rush Creek Preserve.  Parking area for trailers.

Event Details

Getaway Horseplay North Bay #2

  Novato Horsemen Inc.

This is #2 in a series of four obstacle course events in Napa, Marin, Solano and Sonoma counties.

Every event will have 8 obstacles.  Each obstacle has a challenge level  (1) Novice, (2) Intermediate or (3) Advance. Choose whichever level, at any obstacle, that best suits you and your horse. Obstacles are not timed. 

To qualify for the Getaway Horseplay North Bay Series Highpoint Tournament you must be an ETS member and have competed in 3 out of 4 events. The Tournament Awards ceremony will be held after event #4. You do not need to be present if you have already qualified, however, we hope you attend the last event!

The Terrain

Sand arenas. Some natural features outside of arena include creek, logs and some sloping terrain.

Meals

Snack shack will be open. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, chips, beverages.

Awards

Ribbons 1st - 6th place at every event for Novice, Intermediate and Advance divisions.

ETS members can qualify for the Series Highpoint Tournament by competing in 3 out of 4 Getaway Horseplay North Bay events! For more information visit the ETS Tournaments page.

Grand Champion Buckles and Reserve Champion Medals to Novice, Intermediate and Advance divisions.

EQUINE CARROT CLUB

Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine Placement Points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.

STAR RIDER CLUB

You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. This kilt pin will come with an Equine Trail Sports iron on patch to attach the kilt pin. Rider Placement Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.

$10 Facility fee

$5 Mandatory CA EMMP fee. You may pay in advance GETAWAYHORSEPLAY

or during event check in. Cash, check or mobile payment accepted. Payments are made to "Getaway Horseplay"
