About The Venue

Wranglers Campground specializes in providing year-round opportunities for horseback riding and wagon driving enthusiasts. It offers 220 well-defined sites — some with electrical hookups, sites with electric, water, and sewer, primitive sites, and 12 primitive cabins available for nightly rental. Most sites are capable of handling large motor homes and horse trailers. Campers have access to modern facilities, 100 miles of horse trails, activity court, and stalls, plus farrier and blacksmith services on weekends from April through November. Guided trail rides and riding stables are available from April through October. Horses have the right-of-way at this campground. Stalls may be reserved or rented upon arrival. Stall fees are charged separately from camping fees. Stall cleaning is the responsibility of stall renters. All horses are required to have proof of a current equine infectious anemia (EIA) Test (Coggins) and a current veterinary health certificate in compliance with Kentucky State laws.

Campers can purchase ice, firewood, tick repellent, limited camping, and equestrian supplies, plus other perishable goods at the Outpost. Soft drink machines and heated restrooms with showers available year-round.

Event Details

If you like backwood trails with a variety of terrain and beautiful surroundings along with doing fun obstacles in support of our nation's active duty military,  veterans, and their families- this is an event for you!

Come enjoy Land Between the Lakes with your furry friends and check out Trail 10. We will be starting and finishing in the day use parking area inside the campground.

The Terrain

This 10-mile trail is beautifully scenic but challenging at times. Be prepared for large chunky river rock, steep grades, some soft loamy soil, packed sand, and approximately 1/3 mile asphalt uphill. Be prepared for several water crossings (none should be any deeper than 2-3'), and a short stretch walking up-stream.

Meals

Provide your own food, or buy light food from general store at campground.

Additional Opportunities

KENTUCKY BATTLE IN THE BLUEGRASS BUCKLE TOURNAMENT

This event is part of a 2019 ETS tournament, known as Battle in the Bluegrass, being held in Kentucky. Everyone competing in a Battle in the Bluegrass event is automatically entered in the tournament. The champion in each division (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced) will receive a tournament buckle. Other prizes will be awarded; specifics are still under development. Points earned at these two events, and other tournament-sponsored events, will accumulate toward your total for the tournament series. Eligible tournament participants consist of the same competitor and same equine team throughout the tournament year. More tournament information to come as details are firmed up.
