About The Venue

Mammoth Cave Horse Camp is designed to provide you with the most enjoyable experience while staying there. It features a clean, well-maintained grounds with electric, water, picnic tables and fire ring at each campsite. There is also a modern, clean shower and restroom house. In addition to all of this, there are many 10x12 stalls for your horse's safety.

Camping is FREE in August so come early or stay later and enjoy the 60 miles of trails in the adjoining national park. Stalls are $12 each per night and $5 for a bag of bedding (you must buy at least one bag of bedding).

Event Details

Saturday will be an Obstacle trail with challenging and fun obstacles placed along a trail meandering through the woods and pastures around the campground.

Sunday will be an arena challenge in the 90x200 arena and surrounding area. 

You may ride Saturday or Sunday or both.

The Terrain

The terrain is a mix of flat and hilly with grass, dirt, gravel and rocky trails. Hoof protection is recommended for the trail on Saturday but won't be necessary for the arena challenge on Sunday.

Meals

There will be burgers, chips, soft drinks and water available for purchase or you may bring your own food. If you would like to purchase food at the event, please add that on your registration (but you will pay at the event).

Awards

There will be prizes for 1st-3rd places in Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Also, beautiful ribbons for 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

Additional Fees

A $3 fee will be accessed for any competitor wishing to participate in the 2019 ETS Kentucky Tournament Battle in the Bluegrass.  This fee with be used for the year-end tournament prizes.

ETS 2019 Kentucky Series

The tournament consists of several ETS events throughout the year at different Kentucky venues and put on by different hosts. The top three high point winners in the three brackets (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced) will receive prizes at the end of the tournament.  The champions in each bracket will receive a buckle.  Other prizes to be determined.  Points earned at this event and other tournament-sponsored events will accumulate towards your total for the tournament.  Eligible tournament competitors consist of the same equine and same competitor team throughout the tournament year.
