About The Venue

Parrie Haynes Ranch Equestrian Center is settled along the Lampasas River on about 1600 acres of Hill Country terrain.  West Fort Hood borders our northern side.  The acreage is teeming with natural wildlife and native plants with trails that wind through rolling native prairies, pastures, cedar/oak trees, and crystal clear streams.  The Priddy Cabin was built here in 1859.  Other homes were scattered across the ranch and have only foundations remaining.  Please be careful and respect our heritage.  Visit the Parrie Haynes Ranch Museum in the Clubhouse (not big but a labor of love for our history).

Trails are well marked with pvc posts, spray painted markers, and colored engineering tape. Intersections are also marked with color codes to help you navigate the ranch. Maps are available in the office.

Event Details

We will have a 5 mile Trail Challenge for your enjoyment on Saturday, an Obstacle Challenge Saturday afternoon and then a 5 mile Trail Challenge on Sunday.

Many areas have nice footing while others are very rocky. 

Meals

(Not Provided) But, if you are coming with a big group Parrie Haynes does offers a Clubhouse for rent equipped with a kitchen, dining room and meeting room.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer! And fun prizes.

2021 Events hosted by Rountree Ranch Equine Obstacles will be a Buckle Challenge. You will be required to attend 5 of 7 events to qualify.
