Welcome fellow equestrians! Join us for a day of fun exploring how obstacle work keeps your horse’s mind fresh and his body conditioned with movements and maneuvers not found in ordinary arena work. Navigating your way through obstacles can actually improve your feel as you learn to sense where your horse’s various body parts are at any given moment. That "feel" is what makes a truly accomplished rider.
Our venue is an Artist's very scenic and beautiful private estate with gently sloping terrain, wide expansive fields, and miles of well groomed, wooded, barefoot friendly trails. There are no amenities such as camping or horse stalls for this event, (however, there is a 300' trail of 28 magical artist-made Fairy Stable doors to be seen! Also a Monet-style mosaic bridge and several barn quilts. There’s art everywhere!)
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE OBSTACLE TRAIL EVENT.
COGGINS REQUIRED AT CHECK IN.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Conservancy. The Caledonia Conservancy is a 501C local organization is committed to preserving land for future use.
For more information go to www.Caledoniaconservancy.org.
The morning is dedicated to the IH obstacle course held in an open area with a perimeter fence, followed by a 3.2 mile Obstacle Trail ride. Lunch is on your own as time permits based on your completion and the start of each event.
