About The Venue

The Wasco County Fairgrounds and W.E. Hunt Park are located in Tygh Valley, Oregon. The fairgrounds are home to the annual Wasco County Fair, which has been held here since 1937 when it was merged with the Southern Wasco County Fair. When not in use for the fair, the park and fairgrounds host a variety of events from the Bluegrass Jamboree in the fall to church camps in the spring.

Event Details

There will be In Hand and Mounted events on Saturday with a Mounted event on Sunday. This is a benefit for the Wasco County 4H program. The kids will be working hard to raise money and make this event successful.

Stalls will be available with dry camping or hook ups. We will also have an area where you can dry camp and set up your own pens.

There is a pile of shavings from last year that is free to use or bring your own shavings.

Stalls need to be stripped after the event or for $20 donation to the 4H club you can just leave and the kids will take care of the stall for you.

Some of the "Hook Up" spaces are near a separate stall area. There is limited room there for some personal pens. Dry camping is right next to the main stalls. There is space around the outside of the race track for dry camping with your own pens set up.

All Proceeds to go to the 4H kids

We will have a potluck on Saturday night so bring a dish to share.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer!

There will be weekend hi-point and partnership awards

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Additional Opportunities

There will be one of Lance's folding tables available for a raffle. The winner will be drawn at Wasco County Fair
