About The Venue

Ride through high mountain forests and upland meadows. Enjoy the local flora and fauna of the area, including quaking aspen, willows, pines and fir, wildflowers, mule deer, chickadees, red-tail hawks and more.

Overnight stalls are available at the equestrian center with tack areas.

Event Details

Saturday In-Hand Obstacle Challenge (IH) - the In-Hand event obstacles are completed dismounted. You may be saddled, halters with leads are recommended. All non-riding equines are welcome and encouraged to compete!

Saturday Trail Challenge (TC)  - A beautiful 8 mile trail ride with judged obstacles placed in camp and on trail. All disciplines are welcome.

Sunday Mounted Obstacle Challenge (OC)  - the Mounted event obstacles are completed while riding in the saddle in the arena, headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome as well as bit-less headstalls.

Saturday Trail Challenge (TC) A relaxing 6 mile trail ride with judged obstacles placed in camp and on the trail. All disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Sandy arena, one track to wide trails, moderate hills & rocky areas, gorgeous views!

Meals

At your leisure, cafe will be be available.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Per Event!

1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17)

1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12)

and 1st place Newcomer!

I-80 East to Donner Pass Rd in Truckee, take exit 184 for Donner Pass Rd, at the traffic circle take the 3rd exit on to Donner Pass Rd .06 mi, turn left onto Northwoods Blvd 3.8 mi, turn right onto Fjord Rd, Left onto Alder Creek Rd, .4 mi, center will be on right hand side

From Reno:

I-80 West to exit 188 CA-89/CA 267 toward Sierraville/Lake Tahoe, turn right onto CA-89 N, at 1st traffic circle take 2nd exit onto CA-89, at 2nd traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on CA-89 1.7 mi, turn left onto Alder Creek Rd, center will be on right hand side.
