The Santa Cruz County Horsemen's Association has a long history of supporting the surrounding equine community for almost 80 years. The objectives of the organization are to perpetuate interest in all horse activities, create and maintain a better knowledge and understanding between the human and equine families, and develop and maintain a county-wide trails system.
Saturday - In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.
Saturday - Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Sunday - Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.
Large obstacle playground on flat footing, single & double track trails, moderate hills, stream & bridge crossings, moderate rocky areas on trail.
At your leisure, food truck may be available
Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine.
Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden.
Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.
Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

Follow I-80 W for 147 mi, take exit 40 for I-680 toward Benicia/San Jose for .0.5 mi, continue onto I-680 S for 58 mi, take exit 12 to merge onto CA-262 S/Mission Blvd for 0.5 mi. merge onto CA-262 S/Mission Blvd, use the left 2 lanes to merge onto I-880 S toward San Jose for 1.7 mi, keep left to stay on I-880 S for 11 mi, Use right lane to take exit 11A toward CA-17/Santa Cruz. Merge onto CA-17 follow CA-17 S for 22 mi, take exit 3 for Mt. Hermon Rd, turn right onto Mt. Hermon Rd for 1 mi, turn left onto Lockwood Ln for 1 mi, turn left onto Graham Hill Rd for 2 mi, the showgrounds entry gate is on the right hand side.
From SF BAY AREA: From 101 South, take exit 423B for I-380 W toward I-280/San Bruno, merge onto I-280 S toward San Jose, take exit 12B to merge onto CA-85 toward Gilroy. Use right lane to take exit 11A toward CA-17/Santa Cruz. Merge onto CA-17, continue onto CA-17 S for 22 mi, take exit 3 for Mt. Hermon Rd, turn right onto Mt. Hermon Rd for 1 mi, turn left onto Lockwood Ln for 1 mi, turn left onto Graham Hill Rd for 2 mi, the showgrounds entry gate is on the right hand side.
