The wonderful 24-mile trail system at Taylorsville Lake Park is managed as multi-use trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders and encompasses some of the most beautiful horse riding country around.
If you prefer to come early or stay later, the campground at Taylorsville Lake offers 42 full service campsites for RV's, and horse lovers can sleep under the stars with their equine pals at one of ten camp sites set up specifically for horse camping. ission, should you choose to accept it, ... will be 5 miles of wandering paths through various terrain in the wilderness. You will encounter multiple perils or obstacles along the way that you will have to overcome to complete your mission. This flyer will self-destruct in five seconds, so register now.
The proceeds will go to the Friends of Taylorsville Lake group to help maintain the trails at Taylorsville Lake State Park.
If you are not an ETS member, there is a $10 Day Pass fee, or $35 for a yearly membership in addition to the $55 (23 and older)/$28 (ages 7-22) entry fee. Helmets are required for Jr. riders.
The trails for this event will primarily be in wooded areas with some hills and creeks. The footing varies between dirt trails and rocky areas. You may want to consider shoes or boots if your equine partner’s have sensitive feet.
A hot breakfast (for $6) and lunch (for $8) will be available for purchase at the event.

Also there will be a Costume Contest for riders and their horses with a 1st place prize.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to dress yourself and your trusty steed up for the costume contest! Secret agents will be watching all day for the best rider and horse costume. Winner to be announced at the awards ceremony. Please make sure your costume is safe for you and others around you.

From Taylorsville: Turn on Hwy. 44/Little Mt.Rd, go 5 miles and road turns into KY-248. Continue another 2 miles then turn right on Park Road/Hwy. 3230. Event will be in Day Parking (.8 mile) on the right.
