About The Venue

Five Brooks Horse Camp is located near the Pt. Reyes National Seashore offers a beautiful venue for camping with your equines and family!  Lots of lovely trails surround the area including beach access within a 2 hour ride from camp.

Friday arrival:  A large dry camp area will be available for overnight reservations. Water hoses are available. You must bring your own personal horse containment. A few high-lines are available. Five Brooks check-in time is 2 pm. Please do not arrive prior to 2 pm on Friday, July 8th. Per night fees:  $10/horse, $10/person, $10/rig (reserve when registering online, pay at check-in)

Early event check-in is available from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, July 8th

Saturday arrival: Pass Five Brooks Horse Camp, look for a sign saying "five brooks trailhead" and drive to the parking lot. Walk/ride down to camp for check-in from 8:00am - 9:00am (free parking)

Event Details

You will choose between TWO different rides on Saturday

The Forest Ride - a 6 mi (approximately) beautiful loop ride through canopies of tall trees including redwoods, green meadows, and cool temps. This includes stops along the way picking up a total of 5 playing cards.

The Beach Ride - a 13 mi (approximately) beautiful loop ride through canopies of tall trees including redwoods, green meadows, and cool temperatures trailing down to the beach and back. This includes stops along the way picking up a total of 10 playing cards.

Additional cards may be purchased prior to ride out. $2/card or $8/hand. Maximum of 3 hands per person allowed including ride hand.

All cards need to stay sealed and turned in for viewing for prize placement by 3 pm. Your best 5 cards per hand(s) will be your placement draw(s). A minimum of 10 top hands will receive prizes. These will be given at 5 pm followed by a BBQ dinner (menu forthcoming).

The Terrain

Well groomed single-track and wide trails through the forest canopy and moderate hills.  Footing is sandy with a few rocky areas for a forest ride. Ocean views with a drop in elevation to the seashore with soft, grainy sand for a beach ride

Lunch food truck & BBQ dinner available for an additional fee.

Awards

An assortment of at least 10 prizes will be given to individual top hands.

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Take exit 474 for E Washington St toward Central Petaluma go 0.2 mi, turn right onto E Washington St go 0.7 mi, turn left onto Copeland St go 0.1 mi, turn right at the 1st cross street onto E D St go 4.5 mi, continue onto Pt. Reyes - Petaluma Rd/Red Hill Rd for 11.0 mi, continue onto Platform Bridge Rd for 2.4 mi, turn right onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd go 1.8 mi, turn left onto CA-1 S go 3.5 mi to Five Brooks Ranch on right hand side.

From Sacramento:

From I-80 W go approximately 48 mi, use the right 2 lanes to take exit 33B for CA-37 toward Novato/San Rafael, continue onto CA-37 W for 18.4 mi, take the Atherton Ave exit toward Black Point, keep right at the fork turn left onto Atherton Ave go 3.2 mi, continue onto San Marin Dr go 2.7 mi, turn right onto Novato Blvd go 6.3 mi, turn left onto Pt. Reyes - Petaluma Rd go 6.8 mi, continue onto Platform Bridge Rd for 2.4 mi, turn right onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd go 1.8 mi, turn left onto CA-1 S go 3.5 mi to Five Brooks Ranch on right hand side.
