About The Venue

McMillan Farms has been developed into a retreat with a small full hook-up campground, (7 full hook-up sites), 4 electric-only sites, and unlimited primitive sites. Generators are welcome in the primitive camping area. We have a new bathhouse, and a pavilion for visitors to use. We also have approximately 6-7 miles of riding trails, fishing ponds, and a rental cabin.

Our farm - retreat is a work in progress. We have previously hosted several obstacle challenges here, extreme cowboy races, and other fun equine events. We host Scrabble rides, Horseback Scavenger Hunts, and Horseback Easter Egg Hunts. Everything we do here is meant to get families outside together doing fun things and enjoying each other.Whether it is fishing, camping, horseback riding, hiking, picnicking, picking berries, or just relaxing in the beautiful out of doors.

We are very excited to become a host for ETS!

We have plenty of parking room for trucks and trailers.

Day riders are welcome for a small ranch fee. (unless there is an ETS event scheduled)

PLEASE NOTE*** All camping and overnight stall fees will be collected at registration.******

See our website at: https://www.mcmillanfarms-retreat.com

For riders who are only registered for the Obstacle Course on Saturday or the Playday on Sunday, there is a $5.00 Ranch fee due at the time of Check-In onsite.

Event Details

Saturday morning: Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Saturday after TC: Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Sunday morning: Obstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Sunday afternoon: Ranch Ride (RR)- a relaxing fun ride through the farms riding trails. There will be some surprises hung in the tree branches along the trails! Keep your eyes open for things you don't usually see in the woods! You get to keep what you find as a ranch THANK YOU!

The Terrain

The farm's trails are wide and grassy, and easy to navigate. They are marked clearly with trail signage, and "exit" signs to help you find your way back to the parking area should you get a lil turned around.(Our farm is completely fenced on the outer perimeter, so no rider will be able to inadvertently go off the farm while riding here.)

The only gravel/stones or rocks that anyone would encounter are in the driveway or in parking areas. There are wide grassy edges for tender-footed barefoot horses to avoid the gravel.

Meals

We will have pastries for breakfast, coffee, tea, and other drinks on the pavilion each morning.

There is a stove with an oven, a grill, and a refrigerator on the pavilion for guest use. Anyone wishing to use the pavilion for meals is welcome to.
