About The Venue

Sunset Farm is 70-acre facility is dedicated to equestrian activities located right near the bay in the beautiful NW Washington. The park features a large open field, cross country jumps (including a water feature), various trails that meander throughout the park, a sand riding arena, and picnic area.

 A park fee of $15 fee per equine per weekend due in cash at the time of check in. 

Event Details

Join us for a fun Trail Sports event that offers THREE different options to compete!  Do one, or do all three!  It's sure to be a fun time with good horses and good people.  If you have not been to Birch Bay, its a fun costal town that offers great food and drink options, shopping and beach walking.

Three competitions to choose from in one place; In Hand, Obstacle Trail (2 Mile Loop), and Obstacle Course.

In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

Obstacle Course (OC) – a mounted event in an arena/field. A saddle (treeless included) and headstall with reins are required. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Obstacle Trail (OT) – a relaxing short trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

The Terrain

Sand arena, grass fields, wooded trails with soft dirt.

Meals

Potluck will be Saturday night at 6:30pm!  Bring you chair and a dish to share!

Awards

Beautiful ribbons 1st-3rd place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Carrot Club - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Star Rider Club - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. This kilt pin will come with an Equine Trail Sports iron-on patch to attach it to. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.
