About The Venue

Located on our family farm (4th generation) is the dream we always wanted to share. Modest campground of just 29 sites, offering both equine and traditional camping. Water and electric on every site, dump station, showers, modest playground. Equine sites have two 12x12 gated paddocks ready for you. Overflow paddocks also available for a small fee. 100'x160' outdoor riding arena, 60' round pen, riding trails and over 70 obstacles for you to enjoy.

Campsites available by reservation only. Reservations can be made online at geitnerhomestead.com or by phone at 920-493-7669. A deposit is required to hold your campsite.

Event Details

Saturday - Trail Challenge (TC) – a relaxing trail ride with judged obstacles along the trail and possibly in camp. All riding disciplines are welcome.

Sunday - In Hand (IH) – a dismounted event in an arena/field, halter and lead rope preferred. All equines welcome – any size, breed, and age.

The Terrain

Our trails are fairly flat and mostly grass or dirt. They run around our hay fields, around and through corn fields, wooded areas and prairies. You may find a few rocky areas going through the cornfields that the frost brought up but most of the rocks are smaller or can be avoided. 

Meals

Walking tacos, snacks, and beverages will be available to purchase at the event.

Awards

Beautiful ribbons - 1st-6th place Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced! 1st-3rd place Junior (age 13-17), 1st-3rd place Youngin' (age 7-12), and 1st place Newcomer.

Lifetime Awards (Equine & Rider) - Sign up 2 weeks in advance to get your qualifying awards!

Equine Awards - Your equine will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden carrot charms as they progress through the levels. Equine points accumulate no matter who rides the equine. 

Rider Awards - You will earn a beautiful kilt pin adding copper, bronze, silver, and golden star charms as you progress through the levels. Rider Points accumulate no matter which equine is ridden. 

Additional Fees

Payment for ALL Amenities reserved at the time of online registration are due ON SITE and are NOT collected at the time of online registration.

Registering online will give you the best (early bird) pricing! There is a $10 increase per entry for onsite registration.

There is a $5 per day horse fee for campers.
There is a $10 per day facility fee for non-campers.

Just 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay. Take Hwy 42 north, turn east on County Road I in the town of Carlsville, and then turn north on Oak Road.
