Recreational Competition
Your entry into any event automatically enters you into its corresponding tournament(s). Tournaments are awarded based on points and may be based on one event or across multiple events, over a specified duration of time. Tournaments do not affect ribbon placement at the individual events. Tournament winners may receive cash or sponsored awards. Cash tournaments will require a nominal fee. Entry into tournaments for sponsored prizes does not require a fee. Tournaments may award based on several criteria but are not limited to:
Each time you compete, you place in a bracket:
Novice = 1
Intermediate = 2
Advanced = 3
(1) Add up your bracket placements to determine your Challenge Level Sum
(2) Divide by the number of events attended
Novice | Intermediate | Advanced | |
---|---|---|---|
Avg Challenge Level | ~ 1.49 | 1.5-2.49 | 2.5+ |
Rule of thumb: You will qualify for the bracket that you most often rode in.
Example: you rode in 10 events, 6 of which you placed in Intermediate. You will fall into the Intermediate bracket.
# Events | Challenge Level (Bracket placed in) | Points |
---|---|---|
6 | 2 (Intermediate) | 12 |
4 | 3 (Advanced) | 12 |
10 total | 24 total |
24 points / 10 events = 2.4 = Intermediate
